Can this really be done?

My client now has added a requirement that her site be printable and completely readable on any desktop printer. I really don't think this can be done. You don't have control over peoples printers and margins. I can't make that guarantee, can I?

I have seen sites with printer buttons that just reformat the content. What type of table margins need to be set so a page is completely printable?

No, all you can do is make sure that you don't force a person with a 640x400 screen side scroll. That's sort of a rull of thumb. If they have to side scroll, the right side of the page could get cut off.

You can clone a pdf version and put a link to it..

Ya gotta love those clients, I had a guy who wanted not only for the site to print but it had to bleed off the edges of the page..doh!
