Hi people.
I run a small web directory and review all sites before that are listed...
What I want to know is , Can I change the record mt browser leaves in the reviewed sites log file from "ie6.1" to something like "ie 6.1 web reviewer my domain.com" The reason i ask is that some users have emailed complaints lately that I have rejected their sites without a review. If i left tracks this might stop.

Any ideas how to do this????

or looking at it from another way ...

if you create a private page in your directory

www.mydirectory.com/admin/pages-for-review

which dynamically lists links to the pages not yet reviewed
and follow the links from that page then assuming they use some kind of log analizer in the list of refering pages then your pages-for-review page will show up as a refering page

- mentioning this as it is how i personally look out for reviewer visits (from dmoz)

If you are a ms user check out proximitron [computerstuff.net]. It is very good and very simple to use.
