To prevent Smart Tags from taking your page traffic away, all you have to do is enter a meta tag with this information inside the < and > brackets:

metaname="MSSmartTagsPreventParsing" content="TRUE"

Unfortunately you will have to go back and put it on each page unless you have set up css pages
