How to browse photos on a web site?

I'm looking to allow visitors to browse 100's of images of mine and download them if they desire (freely). Are there plugins or the like that will make short work of this?

The only way I can think to do it is make a thumbnail of each photo (which I can automate) and then create a link to each image on a page. By hand this would be very time consuming. Maybe I'm missing an obvious answer like a database, a plugin or something? It's gotta be eaiser than hand coding each image to a thumbnail.

Take a look a some of the online photo gallery scripts. Several of them will resize the photos and generate thumbnails as part of the upload process.

I'd make sure every photo or image has a nice descriptive and unique alt= tag. - Larry
