Fireworks 2004 Font Display Problem.

Hi all,

has anyone experience fireworks 2004 not displaying fonts properly? Let me explain.

Fonts like arial etc no problem but fancy fonts (like monotype corsvia) are only half displayed. Take the T for example - it's only displaying the left horiz and the vertical bars. It's not showing the right horizontal bar.

When I look at the font using the built-in text editor (i.e. right click on the letter and then click on editor) shows it as it should be, but not on the design.

Anyone knows how to get round this?

if someone sends me a fireworks png file that contains fonts i dont have on my system, i get something similar

when opening that file, FW asks you if you want to preserve appearance or not whereupon you probably clicked yes ...?

there are some similar bugs in (my copy of) FW. for example when i click and Ctrl at the same time, it leaves a cursor imprint on my file
