If feb update comes along now, what about march update? Will it be at the end of the month or from now all updates will be shifted?

Nobody knows, and i am not even sure Google knows exactly when the next update will take place, it's just to sit back and wait. Google Update History [webmasterworld.com]

I was talking about this in another post.
They usually "catch up". I'd say they'll have another update at the end of this month.
Which is why they have to get this first update out of the way :)

At least are you sure Google knows IF the update will take place?

Within 15 hours of being given a heads up the Feb/early March update is imminent, there is already (the first?) post pondering when the EOM March update/dance will come.
Alrighty then.

If you check the update history chart on this site, there has only been one other case of an update that was this incredibly late, and that was last year. If you notice, later that month the next update happened right at the typical time of the month.

spaidermen, I think the point is that we can't know. Google don't have a published update schedule, and there's no indication that they have a schedule internally.
They just publish it when it's ready, so it can't actually be early or late. If it feels too early or too late, that's only because we relied on our feeling of when it might be.

alright but it used to be regularly updated once a month, now it seems to follow a fuzzy logic...

Great post Macguru. As I've been worrying a lot about the future lately, that song hit the spot and made my day. :)
