noindex and nofollow redirect page

what do bots think?

is it better or worse for PR to tell the bots to index your sitewide redirect page?

on one hand it seems like it would preserve PR for your own site

on the other if everybody did that google would be out of business ... but then if you DO allow it, that particular page would have a relatively high PR in your site since all the outside links go there and you'd lose relatively much - no? ..

any algo whizzes out there to answer that question
