Directory PR vs Toolbar PR

Why they are different?

How come some sites has no PR next to them in the directory but the toolbar show PR6, where did that come from?

Do you think the PR for the directory has been updated but it is not showing yet?

both pr values are created by the pagerank technology of google. if a pagerank is not displayed in the directory i think it's not updated yet.

there is a difference in the calculation if the values. i won't rely on toolbar pr, more on whats in the directory.

For the greatest accuracy I try to look both up and combine them. It gives a bit more granularity (not that much, but every bit helps!).

There are to other possibilities:
- There is a redirection
- PR6 is only an estimated PR

I must be blind or stupid or maybe both. :) Where is the PR on the Google Directory? (Not on the Google Toolbar)I did a search for Coca Cola and did not see a PR on the directory listing for them.

How do you know what the directory pagerank is?

I see the bar with the green, but, how can you easily tell the difference bewteen PR 5 and PR 6?

Thanks for the link! I see the Green Bar on the left, but do not see an actual PR #. I'm sure it is right in front of me!

It reads like a thermometer, look at how much of the bar is green.
