Links & Content Timeframe for Google PickUp

To someone knowledgable about Google I guess this will be a simple question.

Everyone knows it takes months for Google to reward excellent tags and content with higher rankings.

My question is how long does it take Google to reward excellent inbound links to your site?

I have shown 66 total inbound links for 3 months now and all the while have had super new inbound links added month by month. Pages with PRs of 8s and 7s and 6s.

Still, it seems I am stuck on 66 inbound links according to Google.

How long does it take? Hopefully not as long as it takes to get credit for content and tags.

It doesn't take months to reward inbound links, it takes about 8 weeks max. If your inbound links are going to show, they will show in your back links within 2 months.
If they don't then there will be a reason, for example the links are javascript/cgi.
