Since users will be using select lists to select the information they are seeking, eg: category, location and so on, much of what is "key word" content, particularly on "entry" pages will be contained within these select lists.
Would the information contained within these select lists, be indexed by google and other SEs?
If not, does anybody have suggestions of how else to include this content on a page. eg: How good are meta tages as a solution?
Obviously including the content in any form of "hidden" manner is not acceptable. We also are looking to keep all pages as clear and uncluttered as possible.
We would very much appreciate it if anybody can answer out question and/or has any suggestions.
Thanks very much.
We are also linking either via onChange or submit to the selected option(s).
We are aware that no SE will be able to follow these types of links, and are therefore including on all pages a link to a multi-tiered, dynamically generated site map. Although this is being structured in such a way, that it will be meaningful to humans, its essentially only intended for SEs, humans being better served via the select lists and other search types of options.
