Mirror sites

Php to html

If there is already a thread about "mirror" sites, please excuse me and if you would direct me to that thread, I would greatly appreciate it.

If not, does anyone know how Google looks upon mirror sites. I have a site being designed by a friend who is using nukephp. I need to have the ability to upload good, fresh articles and content pages with optimized title, tags and html.

He says he's not sure if php can do that so he will create the bulk of the site in php then "mirror" it into html?

Is this normal? Could this possibly affect my ranking?

I've heard of "mirror" sites before but I never quite understood what it meant.

I have told him I would like to consult you guys and girls first, before he continues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

hi pikapp44, welcome.

i would say, it depends on nukephp. if nukephp - i'm not familiar with it - supports title, description and keywords output, the you don't need a mirror or .html page for it. it won't bother google.

I would advise against using such a mirroring approach. PHP [php.net] lets you output anything you want. So all you need to ensure is that PHPNuke will output individual title elements for each article.
