Hi,

I submitted my domain name and have been indexed by Googlebot, I've actually gotten around 600 hits off of google but after this Tuesday I'm not on google's index anymore for the same keyword. What's going on here? Can someone explain this? I have not changed the content of the site since it was indexed. Any feedback is appreciated.

if its new and fresh submission, you will find like this ... it become steady and ranked after a weektime or so.

I am new as well. I had about 3 pages indexed already. Then around a week and a half ago almost all of my pages were showing up on searches ..only to have them drop out
after two days. They re-appeared a couple of days later plus some and then my whole website disappeared completely. A day later only my index.html shows up. I was going back and forth emailing google thinking it was
deliberate while they kept assuring me although confusing it is common. After the last time I did a little research and found out it is called Everflux. Indexing do to Googles Freshbot (daily spidering) as opposed to the permanent results of Googlebots (monthly spidering). There is a nice posting from a guy in the know at Google here .. just type in EVERFLUX in the search.

Where are everybody's manners? :)
Welcome to WebmasterWorld, samdawg, krishn and casperkor.

What you're describing is Google's business-as-usual: new sites are picked up by the Freshbot and dropped a few days later. Your sites will (hopefully) by included permanently during the Google dance at the end of the month - depending on when your sites were discovered by Google, this might be the end of February or end of March.

I myself was the victim of this, rather frustrating, behaviour a few months ago - then I found WebmasterWorld and have been a member since :)
