We have a navigation system that works well, but ends up evenly distributing the pagerank around the top 10 pages with the home page having only a small bump. I know that I can create pages which link to only the home page as a way of increasing the home page page rank, but I am also thinking of changing most of my internal links to javascript so that google sees one link structure while the user sees another.

This allows me to transfer the page rank to a few key pages, without affecting the user's navigation structure.

Will this trigger any flags at google, or will it trigger a human review. The site gets rave comments for its design and navigation but I am in a competitive term and need more PR for my main page.

Any other ideas. What is the common method of achieving this.

the pr dilution is so small bewteen your index page and the ten sub pages that it wouldn't change your pr at all. As long as you don't have 100+ different disclaimer pages linked from every sub page, i can't see any reason to change the internal links to hidden js links.
