Is the Google Problem Listings Report Page a waste of web space?

It appears that they don't care about hidden links/text anymore.

Seems that Google either doesn't check its spam report email or they don't care about illegal practises such as hidden text and hidden links.

My only other thought is that they are completely swamped with spam report mail and can't possible action it all.
I honestly hope that they can find a way of detecting the more advanced methods of hiding text so spam reporting will become a thing of the past.

What are your thoughts on this?

I've seen a few postings saying it's a waste of time and I did drop them a line relating to one site that was breaking just about every rule and was ranking very high, this was done 6 mths ago and it's still there

You make your mind up?

Yeah, it looks like only mentioning GoogleGuy and WebmasterWorld helps in getting attention as some have figured out in other threads.

But I once read an article that it would be logical for Google to run their database through certain spam filters inbetween updates, not during the update itself to save processing power.

It also said Google likely would run only a few filters at a time, so we all better hope for the hidden text filter to be the next!
