I am moving a web site to my own server very soon, my question is what will happen to my listings on google?

Will my entries in google still be valid and will it still crawl my site when @ the next google dance?

Yes.

We just (last days of Jan) did same with our server (apx 100 domains) and have seen both 64.* and 216.* spidering as usual at the new IPs on Febs 4th, 5th and 6th

there are VERY few spiders out there currently that work strictly by IP.

If you can afford it, let the old server up and responding for a couple of weeks to give google (and other se's and proxies) the time to update their dns settings. This way you wouldn't have any problems and sleep better.

the TTL on most dns entries is pretty short, in the order of a day or a week... it only makes sense to have the one foot here, one foot there setup for a couple of days, and most colos will be ok with lending a box for a mirror for that amount of time

TeofenGL, i don't want to discuss the TTL of the various dns servers ... there are some really sloooow .... but for se's, yeah, couple of days might be enough. ;-)
