Linking to Google

with search terms

I have seen some sites which link to Google with their search terms in the anchor text, for example :

<a href="http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=blue%2Bwidgets">Google Search</a>

Does anybody know why they would do this, does it help in any way with pr or positioning.

Shouldn't do since Google prohitbits spiders from crawling their results via the robots.txt file.
