I recently began using noarchive in my meta tags when updating pages or creating new ones. Since then it seems to me that exactly these pages do not get fresh tags, though the descriptions clearly show the listings as being fresh.

Is this Google's way of showing their dislike of noarchive tags?

I don't believe so... just that google has no archived reference on noarchive pages.

Yes from what i know you don't get a DATE next to your listing even though the pages are clearly fresh, take a search for webmasterworld as an example.
