Top Ranking Pages Using Redirects to Affiliates

Just came across 3 of the top 10 websites for a particular category (all owned by the same person) that when clicked, automatically redirects to an affiliate website that is paying by clicks, not sales.

They are using a linked javascript that sends the user to the affiliate page while still letting Google crawl the page and think that it actually exists.

For spam reporting, use [e-mail]. Be very brief in your email with Google. Report both the actual search keywords and explain the problem briefly.

I believe this violates the TOS of many affiliate programs.

Googlebot obviously can't detect this so you would have thought that if you report a specific site, it would be banned. Problem is Google don't like manually removing sites. It's Catch 22. Not one site that i've reported over the last few months has been removed.

I'll still keep plugging away reporting sites who do this though. I suggest you do the same.

Ya report them to the affiliate program also, that will work faster than google.

The only problem with reporting them to the affiliate is...

although their policy prohibits this, they ran a report and are still making bucket loads of money off of this spammer (even with paying them a few dollars a click).
