Linking images from diff. server

Will it affect ranking?

In the expert opinions of the posters here... if the images on a site are hosted on an entirely different domain/server, do you think that will have any negative impact on a google ranking? I can't think of why it would, but then how often does logic apply...

I have been doing this for over a year with little problem. Google Images even handles it without any apparent problem.

I found a good but inexpensive no frills hosting service to hold my images -- I think this a good way to save money if you have lots of images and traffic.
