I have two links pages:

#1=favorite links
#2=links

both pages all linked to internally exactly the same (except #1 links to #2 and #2 does NOT link to #1--that's only internally linking difference)

#1 links page has banners and text and about 60 links (higher authority links here, also)

#2 links page has text only links and over 100 links

#1 links page has PR5
#2 links page has PR4

Any explanation or thoughts?

From what i know you don't get a lesser PageRank due to many links, but the PageRank which is passed on from #2 is lesser than that of #1.

My models follow lazerzubb's description. I can't explain Jimmie's experience with PR in this instance.

Thanks for trying to figure it out...it's puzzling me...it's not like both pages aren't linked to exactly the same....no subdirectory issues or anything...hmmmmmm

Are the links on your site pointing
to the 'favorite links'
page placed higher on the page than the links
to the 'links' page?

good point ...

there is almost never a situation where incoming links are "identical"

<aside>do both the pages have the same title?

has the second links page been "live" as long - eg have all the incomings been picked up.
