Google Penalty loop

can Google remove my penalty?

In mid December we found ourselves banned (grayed out tool bar.)

Before the month ended Help@Google responded and notified us that their logs indicated that our site no longer had any penalties on it. The also said that we would have to wait to be crawled.

Within days we were deep crawled, nothing missed.

Now with the new index we find we are banned.

My guess is that the algo banned us, an editor removed it due to our plea, and now the algo banned us again.

This round help has failed to respond. :(

We were delighted at our initial successes, ban lifted and deep crawled within 2 1/2 weeks. Now we are afraid we can't break out of this loop.

As long as your site has plenty of inbound links from other sites, and your server doesn't have any down time, you shouldn't have any trouble getting into their index.

Some stuff I watch got spidered, not indexed this month, so I'll be waiting till next month.

Keep in mind, their indexing cycle can be two months...before you start to get referrals from their SERPs.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Jeremy,

That does help as long as it applies to me in this case. I can't afford to wait another month if it is some other problem.

>so I'll be waiting till next month.

I'd agree with that.

We've had a similar problem with our site getting banned and then and email this month stating that our penalty being lifted. We were told that our site was reinstated and the googlebot came crawling two days later, but we are still not in the new index, nor do we have a page rank yet.

Has the Google indexing cycle always two months long? I don't remember hearing about this before.
