could someone please tell me that for how long will these results stay...i hope they dont vanish by tomorrow...please tell me that google will not go back to my old cache now..

Chances are that the results will stay. All isn't final until the dance is over, probably in a few days.
However, your cache should not revert to what you had in early December. It should reflect the way your site was in early January, when the regular Googlebot visited.
