last time around i had a #4 spot for my keyword
and this time i tweaked the page to get a better ranking
by adding the keyword 2 more times and also appear in links.

now on www2.google.com my website is #9 that sucks

are the results on www2, will that be final or can it change.

terrible, i was #4 ranking now #9 place since the update
i didn't get 1 visit for my good keyword, when i was #4
i would get about 7 + a day from the keyword.

chris try and get some incoming text links with your keywords in them.

have you checked google using the allinanchor: to see where you stand if you are in the top four this way you need to look at your on page factors.

Let me ask a hypothetical.

Say I rank #44 in google for "blue widgets".

If I add a significant amount of inbound links with the anchor text "blue widgets", and with everything else staying the same, would my rankings improve?

What if my anchor text read "blue widgets and red widgets"?
Would that help my rankings for both "blue widgets" and "red widgets" if searched seperately?

:)
