If you use frames, does google just spider whatever is between the noframes tags?

I does index the noframes but it does not have as much bearing as the main content. I have been grappling with few framed sites for clients. They do also index the main content but you need to link to it from the noframes or perhaps to a sitemap from the noframes. you will also need the framebusting code to make sure that a page does not appear out of context.
