Will Google be able to follow these links?

And will my site therefore get credit for them?

I have quite a few links to my site from toplists which look something like this:

[a-toplist-site.com...]

Am I right in thinking that because my site url is not included in the link and I'm identified by 'my-password', it won't count towards my PR or show up in my backlinks?

How about this one:

[another-toplist.com...]

My url is included at the end, will I get PR credit for that?

Thanks.

Sometimes they count. I've gotten credit for redirect script links. Try link:www.yourdomain.com at google to see if they are there.

I have no backlinks at all showing in Google, even though I have a PR4 (I've only been indexed permanently for 1 month though).

At alltheweb.com doing link:mydomain.com shows only 4 links (although I have at least 50) and 3 of those are like the second example in my original post.

I suppose it's still too early to tell seeing as my site is so young :(

I would think that the answer depends on the redirect method used..

If the script returned a 301 redirect then they should count!

Use the server header at webmasterworld to determine

Click the "Control Panel" link at thje top of the page.

Then, look to the bottom left under "plug ins".

Copy/paste one of the redirected links into the text box.
