I have been at the top of google for a top keyword in my industry and yesterday I'm no longer there when doing a keyword search without quotes.
I'm still there with quotes around the keyword and I'm listed in www2 and www3 with and without quotes.
Any feedback?

well I'm back up...and on top for now into the 1,000s
for keywords. Peace all, and from the responses...I'll figure it out without you all!

coolcreep, there are changes like that all month long. Do a site search on Everflux.

My best guess is that everyone's working today, getting ready for the update and big crawl, which is any minute now. ;)

Is that a single keyword or a phrase you're putting quotes around?

it's a keyword phrase just "2 words"

I'm back down again.

When you say "dropped", I assume you mean your page ranks lower, but is still to be found somewhere, even if it's #100? That's normal. For some phrases the results with and without quotes look very similar; for others, there's a huge difference.

I'm sure you realize how the search syntax works and that far more sites will match for the phrase entered without quotes. More competition = harder to get to #1.
