I just relaunched our website. To make it more search engine friendly I used apache's rewrite function to make it look like html (its php). Inktomi (Slurp) was spidering the website for amazing 20 hours. While Teoma/Ask Jeeves (every few hours) and Google (just once in the last 2 days) just indexed the frontpage. Why is that? And where can I see the results of Inktomi, is that hotbot.com and then click on "Inktomi"? So far I cannot see any changes there.

delpino,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld!

To answer one of your questions, one way to search Inktomi is [search.positiontech.com...]

Google only grabbed the home page because the deep crawl cycle for Jan. has already been completed. Odds are, the bot that showed up is the Freshbot.

After the Jan. update is complete, you will probably see Google show up and deep crawl your site.
