About duplicated text

I find that google could record some originally issued data in his server, and when google find another duplicated data, google would kick out the new one.

I guess if the duplicated length exceed about 500 words, this would happen.

Anybody give me more report or experience?

Google probably could, but I doubt they do it (not with my copycats).

Who are they to say which on-line content is really the original when taking the off-line content into consideration as well.

My guess is that Google thinks Pagerank will take care of original content in 80% of the cases. (older content will probably receive more inbound links, certainly if it looks like it came from the original author).

There are many threads on this subject, but nothing conclusive in my opinion.

In my opinion, I think should be going according to the copyrights information..the earlier the date the text is original on that site.

this is of course a guess, not confirmed!

I think viataplease has got it right.

There is only so much Google can do, therefore letting factors such as Pagerank etc will help.

I have a number of sites (very low PR) who are copying our content and moving from server > server.
