Was your server up during the full crawl at the beginning of the month?
If it was up and reachable, you should see traces of GoogleBot in your logs during that period.
Is is very unlikely that a PR7 would be dropped without reason. Did you undertake any major redesign of your site recently?
If not, then you could be facing a Google "hiccup". Nothing's perfect in this world ;)

Unfortunetully, there no answers and do not tell me that the server was down or you are spaming the SE, Cause i reported 2 sites that spam the SE by having duplicate domains with the same products and on of the site has doorway pages and nothing happen to them.
I got gray bar due to the last dance, but my keywords still show high in the search, for example today, i was checking a script result that show me the term the user searched for and the SE and what page in the search it was found.
I took a few of those terms that showed up in Google in the first page and i did the search manually and i could not find any thing up to the first 5 pages.
I think Google will do what Google want and i think that they have different algorithms based on the time of the day.
Don't get me wrong, as a user I love Google, but as SEO it is hard to say.
Teeceo,
I don't believe this could be the reason. We all have good reasons to think that GoogleBot is a lot more clever than that ;)
As you never know when GoogleBot will show up, you simply can't hold your breath waiting for it when your site needs to be updated. So this surely happens quite often.
My 2cts..
