Googlebot Crawler differs from Crawl?

Is there any difference between hits from crawler-number here-.googlebot.com and crawl-number here-.googlebot.com?(note the extra -er)

A freshbot is called something like crawlerxx in the logs.
A deep crawler for the big update is crawlxx.
