why would i like to submit?

Why would someone like to submit to google images? I can only come up with one idea: If I would be an artist and would like the world to se what I'm doing (but then it might be better to be listed in the regular index, right?).

Can someone tell me a good reason please! :-)

I have had several occasions where a publication asked us for permission to use an image (at better qualtity) from our site.

It can lead to on- and off-line quoting, possibly a link as well..

I am not sure you can "submit" to Google images. IMO, you are in the general Google index or not, and some images of your site may be picked up and indexed in the Google image index.
