Are Keywords In Link Text All Equal In Value?

I know PageRank value is not equal from every Webpage, but what about ...

... the words in the links from every Webpage?

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have evidence that shows that a link from a PageRank 8 page with 10 links on the page with the words "Web Designer" in the link is worth the same value as a link with the same words "Web Designer" in the link but from a PageRank 5 page with 10 links on the page?

In other words, does the value of link text depend on the value of the link in correlation to its PageRank value?

Any evidence or even a well-educated guess will suffice.

TIA

The link from the pr 8 page is obviously more beneficial to your ranking overall. Whether the link text and pr of the link are scored independently of one another when it comes to ranking, I don't know.

Would the ranking benefit be the same for these two pages. Each with two inbound links.

Page 1 has a link from a pr8 with link text and a link from a pr5 without
Page 2 has a link from a pr8 without link text and a link from a pr5 with link text.

What does everyone think?

(not sure I've explained what I mean very well)

And how many characters are considered as part of the description and counted to clasify the page?

From what it looks like to me, link text has the same value regardless of the PR of the page. I've seen cases of sites with minimal PR, yet very high SERPs, because of a number of pages linking to them with this term.
