there have been things mentioned on this forum that are "no no's" - and some of these do not require controll of a particullar domain that wants to be controlled... so if there were an evil webmaster and he decided to target your domain do you have any protection?

how many of you are scratching your heads? I was unsure if I should post details just in case some moron decides to do it....

I quote from the google "facts and fiction" page:

Fiction:
A competitor can ruin a site's ranking somehow or have another site removed from Google's index.

Fact:
There is almost nothing a competitor can do to harm your ranking or have your site removed from our index. Your rank and your inclusion are dependent on factors under your control as a webmaster, including content choices and site design.

It has been discussed here before, search for it.
