I plan to change my hosting company due to poor services. It is a virtual hosting account and I will be moving to another ISP again with virtual hosting. How will this affect my google listing if at all since the IP will obviously change.

Personally, I would prefer to switch the domain but keep the old Web server and DNS running for quite a while.
There is no danger of this causing duplicates; Google lists URLs so it doesn't matter if one URL can resolve to different IPs that have the same content.
