Google ranking changed 2 times in a week

Ranking rise, then fall

I was checking out a site on google last week, that ranked no 15 for a certain criteria. Then it rose to number 9 for a day. I recent google indexing showed an increase in incoming links by 300 or so. And has since fallen back to number 15 and the incoming links has bfallen by 300 again.

Has anyone ahd this experience?

A lot of fluctuation is quite normal even between the Google updates and should be expected during the update which is just going on.

You might take a look in the library on top of the screen - lots of good info on this and much more seemingly strange Google behaviour!
