Isn't there a limit to something like this? It's been that way for a few months now and they continue to crank out newer sites that clog it even more. Anybody?
Happy New Year!
look at the complaints of pr0 penalties - most of those affected think they've done nothing wrong. maybe they have, maybe they haven't. either way, the boot hurts and it hurts bad.
>>Are you implying both, that reporting is a waste of time,
no, just your time can be better spent on your own site. any time you consider to be spare time that you could use to report a cheat could equally be spent working on your own site.
>>and that these sites will eventually fall because of what
>>they have done,
most of the time, yes
>>that google won't want to manually deal with these spam
>>complaints,
yes - google don't employ hundreds of staff to calculate pagerank manually or to update the databases manually so why would they want to do spam filtering manually when they can automate it?
>>but that they would remove a perfectly legitimate site?
no, i doubt if google would do that, but dmoz or yahoo editors might
>>and then explained that even if you're clean, your
>>competitors "can remove the competition without doing any
>>real work"
no, i said if you teach your competitors how to remove a cheat, they might just use the same methods on you. they might succeed, the might not. who's to say? can you afford the risk?
>>So let me get this straight, it may be a waste of my time

almost correct - only you can decide whether to spend your time reporting a competitor or whether to build up your site. the choice is yours.

stop trolling - go back and read my message again.
it's a long time since i've seen google SERPs with 33 out of 34 results being same site / content. i'd appreciate it if you and others could sticky me with a couple of search terms that produce this and i'll tell you what i'd do (note that what i would choose to do may not be the best thing and may not help and may not be the same as other members here would do, it would just be my opinion).
What is the boards position on this. Is it ok for people to call other people names, simply because of a topic that they find interesting? or is it that people are not allowed to say that they feel offended by other people calling them nasty names.
