hello,

This is my first post. Must say, the info in this forum is GREAT!

Anyway, I have a weird thing happening.

Dec. 1-3, this year.
my site gets crawled and then deep crawled - All pages have logs with the google bot

About everyday or every other day Google bot comes and does the checking of the robots.txt (returns 200)

All seems GREAT, right. FYI. I have been updating the site, adding pages, almost each day... (I'm assuming that is the reason for google to keep coming back)

THE PROBLEM is that my site has no PR (grey) and
only the home page is in the index. Meaning I can type in the domain name and it comes up in google.

Reasons for this behavior?
Any help or ideas?

Some reasons I think that cause the problem:
1. just need more time
2. I have cj links on every page (just one)
3. "some" of the content is copied from other pages (no copy right laws violated... I made sure of that, it is public and free knowledge, the disclaimer said so :)

I'm pretty positive, about 98% sure I'm not spamming.

Any with ideas as to why after a deep crawl and 20 days later my site has no PR and only the home page in the index?

THANKS
Larry

PS. Oh... one more thing I forgot to mention... My one page in the google sometimes "was not there". I noticed a few times (2-3 times in the past 20 days) my site was NOT in the index.

Larry,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]!

This is pretty typical for a new site. Put simply, Google takes 30 days to calculate PR.

Do a WebmasterWorld site search (the link is at the upper left) for phrases like "new site dropped", "everflux", and "freshbot" and you will find a lot of information indicating that your situation is utterly normal, including the fact that your page is popping in and out of the index.

At least you got deep-crawled at the beginning of December. If not, you'd have to wait for the next deep crawl, and then wait another month for results - in other words, up to 60 days!

Don't panic and don't change anything. Just wait and you may be indexed properly after the end of December update but if not the end of January update. That is if all is to Googles liking.
