How much have you moved?

I know that sites jump in and out of Google because of everflux effect after spidering a new site for the first time. But, what about movement when the site has already been indexed for months?

Example:
One of my sites, since the last update, started on page 3, went as high as page 2 and as low as page 7. A lot of movement. I have never seen a site jump this much.

What is the most positions your site(s) have jumped?

I would say it has all to do with the competitiveness of the search query term.

If Google lists a few hundred results, I would suppose such jumping would normal.

There has been talk of jumps through Fresh links as well.
