When I do a 'links' search, Google lists many links to the recently cached pages from other pages on my own site.
But Google finds no links for the pages it is not caching. In actuality, the 'no link' pages have just as many links as the 'many link' pages.
All of the 'no link' pages were cached on Nov 4. The 'many link' pages were cached on Dec 16 and again on Dec 17.
Does anyone have any ideas as to why Google isn't seeing the links on some pages?
You said: "But Google finds no links for the pages it is not caching." And then you said: "All of the 'no link' pages were cached on Nov 4." Sorry, I'm a little confused! :)
You have pages that Google hasn't cached? Are they reached by the same navigation as the cached pages? Is the site new?
Cheers!
Hi Susanne,
What I meant was Google finds no links for the pages that it did not cache on Dec 16/Dec 17.
All pages are linked the same way, and the site is not new.
My site is www.winninginvesting.com. All of the pages I'm referring to are in the Basic Training section. Once you access one Basic Training article, all other active articles can be accessed by links at the bottom.
After posting my first question here, I noticed that I had 73 articles linked at the bottom, and it was mostly articles near the bottom of the list that were not cached on Dec 16/Dec 17.
So last night I trimmed the list to 58 links, and moved the not recently cached articles to the top of the list.
Nothing on my site was cached so far on the 18th, so I don't know if my changes had any effect.
Thanks for your help.

I would create a site map if I were you. Make a page that has links to every single page in your site. Check the size of the site map. If it gets too big, cut it into two different documents. Don't put any graphics on the site map, only text links. Then make a simple text link to your site map from the index page. Preferably fairly high up on that page. This way you ensure that Google and other engines will find every page. Hope that helps, cheers!
