Why a PR8 for this site?

Hello,

I was surprised to find a certain website with a PR8. The index page is all graphics with no text for Google to index, and trying link:website_url in Google returns just 200+ links.

Could someone please explain why this page is so popular with Google?

Pr8 is very possible.

The thing to look for is out of the 200 backlinks, how many are PR8s or PR9s or even PR10.

I went through every listed link in that list and there was just one PR8 and a few PR7s
