Hi,

I have host entry "proxy.google.com" in my logfile. Is this entry caused by Google staff (human) or by some sort of Googlebot?

Usually, I have crawler1-13.google.com which is caused by Googlebot.

Is someone from Google visiting my site?

puzzled.

It's a normal visitor using a cell phone.

Amazing how fast you can get your answers by using the site search [searchengineworld.com] feature. ;)

I bear with you puzzled, sometimes the site search results are pretty thick, especially when related to google topics. But looking for specifics always provide really fast answers.

The knowlege base is astounding in this board.
