What differences will it make to your holiday plans

We need to look at predicting when the Google update is going to be this month as it could affect how we plan work schedules for the holiday period.

Should we work hard up to Christmas Eve to make sure everything is in place or will a couple of days off to do that extra bit of Christmas shopping be in order, thinking that changes can be made between Christmas and New Year ready for the post update crawl?

(Or am I just an sad old romantic who actually still thinks Christmas is of any consequence at all?)

I think it will be the 28th. Gives everyone, including the Google men and women a break from the next adventure of the SE rankings war, for christmas, and would bring in the new year nicely.

I wouldn't start it at 24th, 25th or 26th. There are some people (including me ;) ) who want to enjoy their public holidays instead of sitting in front of the screen all the time. Besides that my girlfriend would kill me if I did that. ;)

does watching the dance give you a better position? ;)

-No matter when it happens I will be at home enjoying family and the holidays. What happens happens, those results will be there all month.

I bet for December the 26th for the next Google update, 6 days after my Christmas Holiday begins ;) and hopefully I'll be having dinner with all my family. Here in Catalonia we have two consecutive holiday days for Christmas, Christmas (25th) and Sant Esteve (Stephen) (26th). When I return at work January the 2th I'll see what Google has done while I was "out" :)

I have been out of town for the last 2 updates, and I highly recommend it. You come back and get to enjoy your results without the worry.

IanTurner, take the days off. If your last few changes before the next crawl are that important, they should have been the first few changes that you made. Enjoy your holidays, and forget about google.
