Welcome to WW, southpole.

Those other sites have been visited by freshbot. (Search this term on the site search).

Presently Google is deepcrawling the net for the next big update that most likely will happen in 3 weeks or so. Your site should be represented in the index then with its present state of being.

But of course you might be visited by freshbot and have completely fresh dates.

Hi southpole and welcome to the forums.

Yes the update is over. Don't worry, Google will check up on your site regularly looking for changes and additions. :)

Hmm, 2 days ago my personal site wasn't in Google, only now it shows up (and quite high, #4 if you do a search on my real name, which is quite common around the world (see tha Sacramento Kings' star player hee hee)

Sorry, but i think that presently Google was deepcrawling the net for the update that most likely will happen in 7 weeks or so (one month later!).

Oh indeed? Then I'm sorry too. Not so much because it is embarassing to have completely misunderstood the situation. More because now I am completely unable to understand why some of my pages had their PR raised at the latest update. And why some SERPs are not bothered by everflux.

The obvious conclusion must be that I stop bothering about deepcrawler at all. It comes when it comes. And the update is made when it is made, sooner or later.

I'll just concentrate on trying to make good pages: with good content and a good structure. And make them in a working rhythm that seems natural to me, not caring if some robot will visit me today or next month. Good pages will eventually make their way to good positions in good search engines.

And I will most likely stop reading and writing in Google News and then move to other fora in WebmasterWorld that better suit my present needs.
