Hey Sup people,
my wepage have been accepted by google and yahoo....then i went to www.rankpilot.com and did the ranking search for my site. I have found that my website rank is very very very low...Can anyone please tell me how to get it to rank higher? i have done keyword optimization, reciprocal links and stuff...so if anyone can have a look at my site. So please help me. If you want the URL of the website, then private message me because as giving out our own URL'S is denied on this website
Thanks

Try targetting more specific keywords and working on building more inbound links.

Speaking of low ranking, I have a site with a PR that went from "not indexed" to "0" back to "not indexed". Since the site is for a local business with a small target audience, and has few reciprocal links I would certainly expect to have a PR of 0 (less than 1). The site is easily found in Google with appropriate keywords and gets crawled by all the expected Googlebots and gets updated. I don't believe I've done anything offensive to Google to get grey-barred. Is this something to be expected when the site is very small with few incoming links? I'd be happy to send a message with the link to any knowledgeable contributors want to have a look.

I agree with jackofalltrades.

Target less competitive phrases. Build inbound links. Your rankings will come up in time.
