Unintentional problems - two similar sites listed.

accidental spam - have two sites built that offer similar content and are for the same company. One was an experiment and the other was the main site. Well they have both been listed and are in the top 10!

what should I do? I'm not greedy... I only need one. :) And I am not spammy... other than similar sites there are no spam tricks...

If the content is just similar I don't see a major problem. Could be quite the opposite if you want to develop both.

On the other hand, this gives you double the backlinks to gain (though you sound like you're doing okay) - double the content to write and double the overhead.

Either take one offline and put in a 301 redirect or develep both. What a nice dilema to be in ;)

jpavery,

If they are different domains, then you can block the search engine spiders in your development domain using a robots.txt file in the top-level directory:

User-agent: *
Disallow: /

If your development site is a subdomain of your main domain, then a 301 Redirect is probably best.

Or you could find a competitor who might pay good money for the redirected traffic. :)
