New server

Moved site, will googlebot find it?

Hi,

I have just moved my site to a new server, I did this about a week ago and I have not seen Googlebot since. The site was getting hit everyday by the freshbot, how long will it take for googlebot to find the site again?

I'm concerned that the site will not get picked up on the next full crawl.

This has historically been a problem. For more information, try a WebmasterWorld site search [searchengineworld.com] for "google dns cache".

I switched servers a week or so before the last Google update and they seemed to get me switched just fine. I think the timing was lucky. Anyway hopefully you will have the same luck and will find it all settled after the dance.

Just checked my logs and googlebot found my site on the new server last night. :)

I switched servers a week before this update.

The old server still has my site running, I plan to leave it there through 2 updates, just to be safe.

I'll let you guys know if all goes well next update, but so far so good ;)
