Hi
I use the following querry-string: costa blanca
If I change the Google-Language tool from german to english, I find out totaly diff. results. The Language MetaTag isnīt responsible.
Does Google use different barrels or sorter for different languages?

thanks in advance

Franz

Hi Franz - welcome to WebmasterWorld!

We've had some discussions on this. It looks like this is restrcited to travel/location searches. The only other area I heard about those different result sets is adult phrases.
Nobody has come up with good answers as to the why and what of this phenomenon. Could be geo targeting for extrem money terms, could be something else.

Actually the different results are triggered by changing the language prefs in the search string. That trigger also determines the set of displayed adwords, i.e. what the advertizer has chosen as target group.

I'm afraid so, but it's hard to imagine how many emails they receive now they're so popular.

For the differences in travel related phrases with English interface language, I haven't managed to prove it but my money is on server IP geotargeting.
