Is there any logical reason that anybody knows as to why on Google I am eather at the top or not there at all. I pop up and disappear almost on a daily cycle. Is this common for others too?

Maybe if you could share some further info, then appropriate answers would be a lot easier.

1, How new is the site (listing in google I mean)
2, Are you continuosly making any changes?

as far as I can tell, it seems like you are experiencing the Everflux effect as its quite a new site in the Google Index, and should hopefully setlle down after 1 or 2 updates.

It's common if your site starts to be indexed.

Me too! - I would really like to know the answer to this. We have a relatively new site - been up about a month and we have been making a lot of changes. In that time we have appeared on Google about half dozen times, the last time for about 5 days. Then zip - zilch gone - not a trace. Don't know about you but I'm getting sleepless nights thinking I've commited some dreadful googlegaff.

Shakil you asked for more info. Here you go

This is so weird I don't know where to start. About the 1st of this past July I signed up for space at ableinternet.com. I created a sub directory there and put a little three page thing in it I had done for my sister. Than I took a three month vacation. Mind you I was the only one that knew it was there. In the root directory all I had was a blank index. I also had this same little site on my free space at earthlink that was linked to a site that pops up right at the top. When I returned home I checked to see if Google had found the site that had a link to it but instead the new one was there at the top by doing a three word search or in the high 30's with a two word search.

I have added a home page and some other stuff to my site over the past few weeks but Google never looks at anything other than the part it already had. I have made minor changes to it & Google always has the latest version in its cache.

I'm very happy that Google found it but now I wish it wouldn't just play games with it.

One more thing, it is listed twice in Googles directory.
