I like to use px for font sizes because I understand pixel sizes better. But i heard this is controversial because people that have there browser font size default set to "Largest" or "Larger"... there font sizes will not change, they will stay the allotted pixel size.
But my question is, does Google anywhere publicly say they do not prefer or will penalize for using pixels for font sizes?
Thanks
I don't think so. Why should they penalize for that?
Well, i thought maybe some could use it as a spam method (i.e. using a barely visible 1 pixel font size) and just wanted to make sure google wouldnt penalize since i like to use pixels for my font sizes.
I'm just a nervous nelly i guess, lol... :)
Thanks for relieving my worries. :)
I also need to use the pixel font size method because my site becomes messed up using a "pt" font size method if the visitor has there font size set to anything other than "medium".
So that in itself may call attention to yourself, at the very least from your competitors and busy-bodies in general. There's always the chance that they will file a spam report... and next thing you know you'll have a scene straight out of Minority Report happening to your web site.
I use no smaller than 10px for my site.
Thanks for clearing this up, now i feel ok about using pixel size fonts. I Just wanted to make sure because I heard about this somewhere. Just always looking out for my site i guess...hehe. :)
