I posted this in the general area...felt it might be more appropriate here.

Anyone with the interest or time should do a Google search for the term "<bleep>". Make sure its plural. Four of the top five results are all the same company with redirected url's all pointing to the same page. Interstingly enough, they also own the top "sponsored link" as well as an adword buy.
Is this relevance? How are companies able to do this? Don't we talk about this not working?

Any comments?

Thanks

Many variables are set to be caught in the algorighm's, many are not. There are always going to be exceptions to every "best practice" strategies. People sneak under the wire all the time, but when you are caught, you are nailed. All engines request that you report anyone you think is unfairly practicing on the Web. Do that, if you have the time and the desire.

I think that the challange is that we need to compete and when the competition gets ahead by inappropriate means it is especially gauling and may mean loss of revenue. As you know, you must answer the question for yourself on what you are willing to do and not do.
